Dr. Ummi Hani Binti Abu Hassan holds a Ph.D. in Malay-Indonesia Comparative Literature from the School of Comparative Literature, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), Seoul, South Korea (2015 – 2018). With expertise in modern literature and creative writing, specializing in novels, short stories, and drama scripts, she has received prestigious national awards, including Hadiah Sastera Kumpulan Utusan, Hadiah Sastera Kanak-Kanak DBP, and Hadiah Sastera Penulisan Kreatif Mastera (2021), alongside a FINAS grant for “Creativity Never Stops 4.0” National Edition (2021). Her career includes teaching Malay Literature and Studies at HUFS (2015 – 2018 and 2023 – present), and serving as Senior Lecturer at the Department of Malay Literature, Academy of Malay Studies (APM), University of Malaya (2018 – 2023).
